Ardington Archives are specialists in document archiving for businesses. Wanting to introduce a digital
document retrieval service to their website, they called upon OSX.
On occasion, an Ardington Archives customer may want to retrieve a couple of documents from the many boxes
full that are held for them. The online vault makes this process more efficient and environmentally friendly
compared to transporting the whole box.
The client logs in to the Ardington Archives website and submits a
request for the required documents, the Ardington staff then see this request; once found and scanned it is then
uploaded to the client's online vault account, where it will be available for download for a period of time
before it is automatically deleted.
- Secure Access
- Clients require an account to gain access to the online vault, when logged in, requests and retrievals take
place over an encrypted connection.
- The online vault interfaces with Ardington Archives' intranet system, allowing them to manage user accounts
and address document requests from within their existing environment.
- Pages rearrange themselves to best suit the device they're viewed on, ensuring the site looks great on
desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones.
Although the Online Vault is the focal point of this project overview, it is only one aspect of the website.
OSX also implemented a fresh new design in-line with an update to the Ardington Archives brand.
